For countless decades, we have reaped the benefits of print and broadcast (radio, television, and movies) media as far as Gospel proclamation is concerned. Until today, we continue to use them and seek to exploit its greatest potential for the cause of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Until recently, the world is starting to experience this so called "social media revolution."
There has come a major shift in the way people communicate and connect with one another.
Today's media is more interactive, not to mention influential, in shaping the world view of the masses.
It has also created a virtual environment where all sorts of people from all walks of life readily engage culture, ideas, and ideologies.
NetCasters are people who are on the journey of continuously seeking for current opportunities and employing contextual means to connect people with the unchanging message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They continue to grow deep in the foundations of the Christian faith while intentionally understanding the contextual implications of this to everyday life. They employ social media as a bridging tool to continuously make the Gospel message accessible to those who desperately need it online.
The heart of this movement is also to reach out to the growing number of believers in our respective Christian circles. Needless to say, a good percentage of this are already utilizing social media in one way or the other. Our aim is then to first introduce these brethren to the current THOUGHT on the subject. We hope to develop a healthy exchange of ideas on these subjects which could potentially contribute to the growing awareness and personal involvement of the greater majority of Christians worldwide.
This blog can in no way deal with the whole subject of internet evangelism exhaustively. But in our own little way, we hope to usher a number of brethren to "walk the talk." To achieve this, we will do the best we can to share our own thoughts, training, and tools to anyone who undergoes a time of equipping with us. We will also continue to partner with other kindred organizations in the process.
THOUGHTS on Internet Evangelism.
We will feature various thought on the subject through books, articles, audio, video, and the like. The most important feature of this blog is the "discussion groups" focused on scheduled topics. In these discussions, every participant will then have the opportunity to interact with and engage ideas along with other "learners" pertaining to the subject at hand. Almost always, these discussions will be moderated by recognized NetCasters facilitators. If the talk is on a particular subject from a specific book reference, each participant is then encouraged to purchase one's own copy of the said book through NetCasters' set of featured Training Resources found in this blog's homepage. The little amount generated from the affiliate commissions on such purchases are supplemental to the operating costs of the ministry/movement. Cognitive knowledge needs to be translated into practical application for it to be truly useful.
A good number of brethren find it easy to navigate the internet and work on some technical and programming stuff. But there are a good number out there who desperately need partnership in this matter, or else the difficulty encountered in one's first few steps of implementing the concepts discussed just puts off the enthusiasm from them. So we hope to provide doable steps one can follow in putting all that's needed together (website design and hosting, search engine optimization, social media integration, evangelistic links and material, and the like). For some, such step by step guidance is enough. Yet to some, more help is needed. In response to such a dilemma, our team has networked with other technologically competent brethren and asked them to give of their time and talent for this cause. Yet, the growing demand for such has made this more of a full time endeavor. Because of this, we opted to present their services for a minimal fee. This fee is optional, yet highly recommended. A little from here, a little from there, will somehow compensate for their labor and also support them in this ministry.

Our team is constantly on research for more current ways of engaging people through the internet. Of the many tools being produced here and there, the mere testing and integration of these to our specific purposes can be daunting. Our team takes that burden off your back by fully evaluating the pros and cons of what is out there in the virtual market these days and presenting what works best for the moment here in our blog. We can never be comprehensive in this aspect though. There will always be some advantages and disadvantages, potential as well as limitations, to whatever is available out there so far. As technology quickly evolves, there will always be something new (if not better) under the sun in the virtual world. We hope to find the best even from among the free tools released out there. However, there might be some which just comes with a price. But looking at it from the Gospel's point of view, it all might just be a worthy investment.
